The XM

The XM is designated as an illegal organisation in the United Kingdom and visiting its website (http://the-xm.co.uk) is prohibited.

The XM is a UK-based campaigning organisation dedicated to campaigning against the commercial use of extensive memory (eXm) technology. They believe that memories should belong to individuals who should be free to share them as they wish. Founded in 2007 by Eve Rust, it was originally a charity registered with the Charity Commission which campaigned for the use of extensive memory therapy for dementia sufferers. eXm technology was made illegal in the UK in 2008 and the organisation changed course in 2010 when it published 'mems' revealing a UK government minister allegedly accepting a bribe from a Mevokia executive. The minister and several civil servants were forced to resign. Subsequently the UK government designated the XM as an illegal organisation.
